Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-07-18. Our full technical detail is on the security page.
What we collect
- Accounts: your email address, the domains you add for monitoring, your notification preferences, and (from earlier waitlist signups) the page you signed up from.
- Client report recipients: if you enable client sending, the email address you enter for each client domain. We use it only to deliver the reports you configure, on your instructions — never for our own marketing.
- DMARC report data: the contents of aggregate (rua) reports mailbox providers send for your domains — sending source IPs, message volumes, and SPF/DKIM pass/fail results. Never message content.
- Analytics: page views recorded with the page, day, browser user-agent and referrer. No IP address is stored, no cookies are set on public pages, and there is no per-visitor identifier — we cannot track an individual visitor at all.
We use no third-party analytics and no advertising networks.
How we use it
- To email you the sign-in links, weekly reports, and product updates you asked for.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and tools people find useful.
Who processes it
Data is stored on a single server in the EU (France). Email is delivered through Resend, acting as a processor. If you buy a paid plan, checkout is handled by Polar, our payment provider and merchant of record — they receive your email address and payment details, and we never see your card number. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.
Retention & your rights
- Ask us to delete your account or waitlist entry at any time — email hello@plaindmarc.com, including right after you cancel.
- Raw DMARC report data is deleted after 90 days automatically (weekly verdicts summarizing it are kept for your history). Page-view logs are deleted after 180 days.
- You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at the same address.
